Angel Stadium

Angel Stadium has hosted pro-football games, soccer matches, concerts, and pretty much every grand spectacle imaginable. Most notably, however, the stadium has been the home of Angels Baseball since it was built in 1966. Angel Stadium, affectionately known as the “Big A,” is one of the most iconic ballparks in Major League Baseball. Although it’s the fourth-oldest MLB ballpark, major league improvements have kept it modern and comfortable. In fact, during renovations, California Spectacular, a Disney-imagined sculpture featuring a cascading waterfall and dancing fountains, was built and sits behind centerfield today. Fans can also enjoy themed firework shows after every Saturday night home game.

No game is complete without an Angel Dog. Enjoying one of these is as essential to your visit to Angel Stadium as singing The Foundations’ “Build Me Up, Buttercup” during the 7th inning stretch. Perhaps you’re craving a little something more comforting. Stop by the Big Cheese for gourmet ballpark grilled cheese. While you’re in town, take a guided tour around Angel Stadium during non-game days and learn about the ballpark’s history behind the scenes.

The Angel Stadium area development plans include shopping, dining, and other entertainment options all surrounding the ballpark. This development will include 2.7 million square feet of office space, residential development, a park, and two hotels with a planned 943 rooms combined. Some in-stadium improvements are planned as well, including a new fan experience area behind the outfield where guests can enjoy a brewery, restaurants and hear live music. The plan also includes some flex space that will allow the Angels to replace the existing ballpark with a new stadium if necessary.
